An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, maintains production and facility equipment to meet the operational business needs within a Distribution Center environment. This role will be supporting third shift operations.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Assists the team by performing repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment found in a heavy industrial environment.
Provide maintenance support for the facility and operations.
Provide support for equipment such as, automated conveyor systems, vision systems, semi-automated palletizers, various semi/auto packaging machines, industrial air compressors, HVAC systems, and more.
Assists in the relocation of machines/fixtures, materials, and equipment as required.
Assist in machine changeover to support production.
Utilizes machine/facility schematics, diagrams, and specifications to provide effective resolution.
Maintain, troubleshoot, re-build and repair all plant equipment consisting of, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and minor electrical devices.
Fabrication and/or repairs such as, the construction of guards, ducting, spouts, etc.
Ability to weld.
Requires thorough knowledge of the functions and operations of all plant/facility equipment and machinery to provide for effective operation and a safe environment.
Ability to use the tools and measuring devices common to the Maintenance Mechanic's Trade.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar work environment and responsibilities is required. Journey-level card in a mechanical or trade or equivalent Trade/Vocational education is preferred.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of electricity, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical functions
Self-motivated with the ability to function in a team environment as well as working independently as required.
Willingness and the ability to train, instruct, and mentors others.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as positively contribute to a team environment.
Perform all work timely as required according to Company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and always follow what is known to be safe practices.
