Seeking a Sales & Marketing Controller to support the Sales, Marketing and G&A Departments of Boston Whaler. Position reports to the VP and CFO of Boston Whaler Group and has One direct report.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete month end closing requirements along with supporting analysis, account reconciliations and reporting.

  • Actively participate in implementing necessary processes and controls to protect company assets and accurately report financial results.

  • Manage and support person invoicing shipments who is responsible for managing exception files and pulling necessary customs and shipping paperwork.

  • Perform financial analysis, forecasting and reporting related to monthly OPEX spending. Meet monthly with department leaders accountable for department spending.

  • Provide financial leadership on New Product Development (NPD) teams focusing on product cost, pricing, working capital changes and capital spending.

  • Actively participate in ongoing pricing analysis to include, but not limited to, model year pricing, competitive research, market analysis, cost analysis, etc.

  • Manage and support person responsible for collecting and reporting monthly retail and pipeline data. Data and analysis are key to decision criteria on investments (capital and discounts) and analyzing market for potential trends and changes (local and international).

  • Support FP&A Manager with monthly forecast, budget and strategy plans by providing insight into revenue, discounts and OPEX spending along with related Balance Sheet accounts.

  • Actively participate with annual audits.

Qualifications:

  • BSBA in Accounting and an MBA in related field.

  • 7 – 10 years of relative experience in Accounting, Finance and Auditing.

  • CPA license preferred; however, consideration given to CMA or person actively working to pursue license.

  • Preference towards experience with manufacturing, consumer products and publically traded companies.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal, with all levels of an organization.

  • Proficient with MS Office.

  • Experience with financial reporting packages (Hyperion, Khalix).
