GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Infrastructure Installation and Support coordinator is an essential part of the data center services and network teams. Working with the Infrastructure and Network leads, Strategic partners, Facilities Teams, and other members of the Brunswick team. This role will support projects, routine and urgent maintenance and installation tasks to help to ensure Brunswick’s on-premises infrastructure is running optimally to support manufacturing and operations footprint. This Unique position is the “smart hands” of IT, helping Rack, Cable, and Maintain critical assets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Rack/Mount, Cable, and maintain Network and Server Assets

  • Receive and Organize technology assets for use with Projects and Repairs

  • Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies to support Break Fix

  • Clean, Organize and document premises network closets and Data Rooms

  • Coordinate with Internal and External teams to be the Point of Contact for Project and Repair

  • Support Asset management through accurate inventory and communication of installed assets

  • Drives adoption of standard process, be a continuous improvement champion and process documentation SME.

  • React to performance alerts and work proactively to ensure IT meets service level requirements, this may require off-hours work.

  • Positively contributes to a high morale/high-performance team culture, leading by example.

  • Be a Liaison with Facilities

  • HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS protection, generator support, fire, smoke, and water detection

  • Work to identify opportunities to move to standards

  • Support implementation when needed

Key Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail:

  • Be Organized and take pride in clean and well-maintained facilities.

  • Asset management. Ensure the ITAM team is kept up to date on changes

  • Cable Management. Work to ensure excellence in Power and Network Cable Management

  • Excellent communication skills with Internal/External Support teams, under pressure. Ability to explain the situation in a calm and organized fashion, take guidance and facility efficient resolution of issues

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve hardware problems, willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.

  • Willing to adjust work schedule as needed to support emergency and planned work

  • Experience with cooling, power, and space design related to infrastructure preferred

  • A.S. in M.I.S/Computer Support or 2 years’ experience preferred
