What You'll Do

The Network Engineer will implement and support the wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) for the entire corporation. This includes, but is not limited to: Supporting/troubleshooting network related problems, capacity tuning, problem solving, policy development, business needs analysis, and project management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and troubleshoot any WAN/LAN outage globally

• Submit move/add/change orders for WAN circuits & equipment

• Assist in the planning and design of the WAN/LAN

• Perform complex network analysis

• Support Palo Alto Networks NGFW and F5 Networks Gear

• Work closely with the divisional network operations groups to support their customers and to ensure the network SLA’s are met or exceeded

• Participates in the development of global network standards

• Maintain enterprise network documentation

• Assist with the financial/cost management of the network

• Work closely with vendors and service providers to develop, manage, and support network equipment and services

• On-call 24x7 for the support of the global WAN/LAN

• Must be able to manage shifting priorities and workloads while handling multiple tasks

• Demonstrate the ability to learn and implement new technologies

• Maintains education in current network technologies

• Consistently exhibit technical subject matter expertise behavior in at least one area

• Participate in network related projects when required

• Performs other related duties as required

Who You Are

  • BS in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • Cisco certification, CCNA preferred.

  • 3+ years network administration experience on a large Cisco network. In-depth knowledge of core networking technologies and concepts such as layer 2 and layer 3 protocols.

  • Recent experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS platforms.

  • Experience in supporting Cisco Nexus switch platform is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
