The position of Lamination Technician is to construct molds, parts, and splashes by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use of hand power tools.

  • Ability to read lamination prints.

  • Ability to cut, wet and roll out fiberglass mat.

  • Ability to modify core materials and create relines or Proto prints.

  • Ability to gunk and grind molds and parts during construction.

  • Ability to apply a variety of components such as coremat, balsa, mastercore, and wood kit during the constructions of parts and molds.

  • Expected to build first time ever product with +- 5% material variance.

  • Ability to track labor for each project

  • Must be able to Cross train in 5-Axis Mill operations and or Welding.

  • Must follow proper procedures in the safe handling of hazardous wastes, which may be generated during the manufacturing process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Three to six months related experience and/or training; High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to document construction data.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to use a tape measure.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
