We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed Quality Assurance Inspector to work with our team members and assist Garelick Mfg. Co. in achieving operational excellence. This position will report directly to the Quality Supervisor. Primary responsibilities for this position will include:

• Oversee Quality for Garelick Mfg. Co.

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and reporting unacceptable materials to Quality Supervisor.

  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to Quality Supervisor.

  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.

  • Prioritizes work load to meet production and shipping requirements.

  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.

  • Assist in process improvement projects such as root cause analysis, 5S, and lean manufacturing.

  • Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related activities as needed.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.


This individual will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively interface with a wide range of employees to meet departmental and company goals.

Required qualifications include:

• Ability to interpret data/spec sheets in order to inspect parts.

• Ability to use basic tools such as tape measures, micrometers, gages, fixtures, hand tools, etc.

• Ability to read blueprints in Solidworks

Preferred qualifications include:

• Associates degree in business, Engineering, science, or related field.

• Three plus years of experience in quality or manufacturing operations.

• ASQ Certifications and LSS experience a plus.•

• Internal auditing experience a plus.
