Production Planner/Scheduler

Navico Group is a stand-alone division of Brunswick, the world’s largest recreational marine business. We are seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Stuart FL

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning and scheduling the shop floor for multiple areas.

Analyzes, understands and anticipates the customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in the production activities.

Provides direction for Production Supervisors on scheduling of machines, resource requirements and shop order priority.

Monitors progress to plans.

Analyzes and understands capacity, machinery and material constraints to meet customer needs. Interacts with appropriate functions within the organization to communicate delays and push for resolution.

Monitors effectiveness of current tools. Refines tools and trains others in the use of tools.

Reviews MRP outputs, forecasts and customer demand to determine planning/scheduling requirements. Is able to identify trends and strategies for improved performance

Schedules production cells based on available capacity and materials related to immediate and future customer needs and forecast

Identifies moderate term capacity and material constraints and works with Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Managers. Purchasing Planners and Commodity Managers to resolve them

Creates schedules, specifies priorities, directs resources and makes adjustments to meet moderate term needs.

Uses and improves available tools to identify material and manpower needs, use of overtime and other strategies needed to fill customer orders

Releases travelers to production and monitors their status

Provides information on product availability to Customer Service.

Education and Experience Requirements (please distinguish 3-5 basic qualifications and 5-8 preferred):

Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management preferred

• 2-6 years experience of planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment

• Accomplished computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint, MRP systems)

• Accomplished at multitasking (multiple projects, departments, personnel)

• Accomplished Interpersonal skills (listens and works with all levels of business)

• Competent in understanding our systems and identifies process improvements

• Competent verbal and written communication skills (facilitate meetings, prepare reports)
